With your fresh ideas and contagious enthusiasm for design, help us tell the world unique and emotive design stories.  Being an Industrial Designer at Studio Munge involves:

  • Influencing the overall success of complex innovative design projects through collaborating with fellow team members and expressing your unique perspectives
  • Partnering with interior design, procurement, and FF&E project team members on the design and development of furniture, fixtures, and lighting for luxury hospitality and residential interiors
  • Developing FF&E items from rough concepts into presentation-ready 3D models for review and study
  • Ensuring congruency of individual pieces with overall design narrative for interior spaces
  • Working closely with your project team members and clients to refine concepts into production-ready designs
  • Reviewing full-scale prototypes for production quality, fit, finish, and function
  • Producing clear and accurate design documentation to communicate design intent to our clients and manufacturing partners

Required Qualifications

– Minimum one year post-graduation work experience in Industrial Design

– Resourceful, curious, inspired, and creative

– Committed to continuous learning and innovation

– An upbeat, positive attitude, and a regular contributor to a motivated work culture

– Strong communication skills – verbal, written, and design articulation

– Accustomed to working in a fast‐paced, dynamic, deadline-oriented environment

– Well-honed time and priority management skills

– Demonstrate a team-orientated and collaborative approach to your work.

– Able to work both independently and collaboratively on projects

– Strong understanding of manufacturing processes related to furniture and lighting

– Fluency with current trends and understanding of their impact

– Experience in developing fresh ideas from initial concept to production-ready designs

– Sound understanding of requirements and integration of space, scale, finishes, and functionality

– Clear delivery of fresh ideas from ideation to sample production

– Fluency with current trends and understanding of their impact

– Outstanding attention to detail

– Proven work experience with the interior design process and selection FF&E components


– Industrial design experience specifically in interior design


Software Fluency

– Solidworks 3D CAD – Advanced skills

– Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

– AutoCAD
