Today, we are looking for a technical and highly creative Junior Designer to join our quickly growing team.

With your design experience, passion, and curious mind, you will be an integral part of a design team led by the direction of Alessandro Munge’s vision. As a Junior Designer, your creativity will be relied on as you support your team in complex projects such as luxurious hospitality projects and residential developments. Additionally, you will execute portions of larger multifaceted projects assigned by our Senior Designers. Our ideal candidate values teamwork and dedicates their energy to delivering projects within given timelines mentored by their fellow designers.

Responsibilities

–  Contribute to multiple projects of moderate complexity from varying stages of completion within schedule and budget.

–  Support team in the concept development of large-scale projects.

–  Select and specify all interior design elements with relevance to the established design narrative.

–  Assist in client success by supporting the design team in achieving project goals.

–  Be proactive in researching and learning design elements required for the project.

–  Prepare design specifications documents using studio software, Fohlio.

–  Assist in pulling images and design ideas together for presentation.

–  Ensure design concepts align with Studio Munge’s vision and studio standards.

Qualifications

–  Be legally entitled to work in Canada – holding Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Resident status or a valid work permit

–  Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design or equivalent

–  Enthusiastic about working in a fast‐paced, deadline-oriented environment

–  Good communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)

–  Possess a creative and curious mindset

–  Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate within a diverse team
