The Apex Social Club has opened atop the Palms Casino & Resort in Las Vegas. Designed by Toronto-based Studio Munge, the outdoor patio and terrace embraces a backdrop of 360-degree views across 4,500 square feet.
The experience begins on the ground floor of the hotel, welcoming guests via a corridor clad with wallcoverings in black and midnight blue. A custom, oversized metal screen is installed beside two elevators that lead exclusively to the open-air club. The avant-garde atmosphere is punctuated with four art pieces from Brooklyn-based artist Dustin Yellin that comprise the series “Pyschogeorgraphies.” Each humanoid sculpture is composed of collages laid in glass and fused with resin to create 3D paintings.
