Westlight, Brooklyn, New York

Located on the 22nd floor of The William Vale hotel, Westlight’s globe lights and lush amber and yellow tones serve as the perfect backdrop for the space’s Manhattan views.

Sapphire blue chairs and leather-wrapped columns create a contrast to the expansive windows that look out over the city.

Anticipation is key at the rooftop lounge from chef Andrew Carmellini, where a long graphic hallway leads guests to the host stand before they turn the corner to the buzzing bar area and those heady vistas beyond.

The William Vale, Brooklyn, New York

The William Vale’s 183 clean and minimalist guestrooms are outfitted with bold art (done in collaboration with the nearby Pratt Institute), a geometric rug, and a mix of blond and gray wood, while balconies allow guests to enjoy the Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines.

The duplex Vale Garden Residence suite boasts a wood-wrapped 1’632-square-foot patio completed with a Jacuzzi.

Matte black metal accents add an industrial touch to the otherwise white and gray bathrooms.

Leuca, Brooklyn, New York

Photographer Rich Kubiszewski’s portraits of a precious little girl hang above leather banquettes in the 187-seat Leuca, where a raised ceiling is painted black to create a cove, emphasizing the mobile-like fixtures inspired by Alexander Calder’s artwork.

A strong European aesthetic is infused throughout the Southern Italian restaurant from chef Andrew Carmellini, where an African mahogany carved bar topped with marble juxtaposes authentic Majolica pottery in the bar area.
