Akira Back Earns Michelin Star

Bisha brings Michelin Star Chef Akira Back to Toronto

Las Vegas chef Akira Back has been awarded one Michelin Starby the 2018 Michelin Guide Seoul for his innovative restaurant concept DOSA in Seoul, South Korea. Back is renowned for blending Japanese cuisine with Korean ingredients and flavours.

“To be recognized and awarded one Michelin Star is an amazing honour for me,” said Back. “And to be given such a prestigious honour in my hometown is truly an incredible achievement. Korean cuisine has constantly been my inspiration as I open restaurants around the world, so to receive this award here is very special.”

Back is opening an eponymous restaurant in the new Bisha Hotel Toronto later this month. It is his first restaurant in Canada.
