Construction begins on Nobu’s first Canadian location

Breaking ground in June!

Last year it was announced that Nobu’s first Canadian location would be opening in Toronto, and it’s finally time to break ground on the 15 Mercer Street site.

The luxury hospitality brand, known for its celebrity following as much as its Japanese fusion cuisine and hotel offerings, will begin work on the development on June 11.

This new concept brought to you by the Madison Group, Westdale Properties, and Nobu Hospitality will be the world’s first integrated Nobu Residences, Nobu Hotel, and Nobu Restaurant.

Toronto-based Teeple Architects and interior design firm Studio Munge will oversee the architecture and interior design for Nobu Residences Toronto set to feature 700 condominium suites in two 49-storey towers rising from a podium complete with indoor and outdoor amenities including a “ground floor commercial retail, flexible private social function and meeting space, a state-of-the-art fitness centre and ‘Zen Garden’ outdoor terrace”.

Joining Nobu Residences Toronto will be Nobu Restaurant Toronto that will feature a 15,000 square foot, two-level restaurant with a signature bar lounge, outdoor seating and chic private dining rooms.
